Christopher Tolkien
Christopher Tolkien (1924–2020) oli kirjailija J. R. R. Tolkienin (1892–1973) nuorin poika, joka tunnetaan työstään isänsä keskeneräisten töiden loppuunsaattamisesta ja toimittamisesta.
Christopher Tolkien syntyi Leedsissä Englannissa perheen nuorimmaksi pojaksi. Lapsena hän kuunteli tarinoita Bilbo Reppulista ja myöhemmin teini-ikäisenä sekä nuorena aikuisena antoi paljon palautetta isälleen Tarusta sormusten herrasta sen kirjoittamisen aikana. Toisessa maailmansodassa hän palveli lentäjänä kuninkaallisissa ilmavoimissa, minkä jälkeen hän opiskeli englantia Oxfordin yliopistossa. Hän toimi luennoitsijana ja oppilaiden ohjaajana Oxfordin New Collegessa 1964–1975.
Christopher Tolkien asui Ranskassa toisen vaimonsa Baillie Tolkienin kanssa. Heillä on kaksi lasta.
