For me the idea of Kuura was interesting from the very beginning, but I had this little concern that what if it's going to be exactly like Twilight (I didn't really enjoy Twilight). But after reading the book my doubts were gone. I loved the story, it was melancholic and dark but at the same time very beautiful.
Even though the genre is the same as Twilight, I think Kuura was different. It was genuine and the characters were more convincing and interesting. I personally didn't love the other main character called Inka, who is naive, jealous and selfish but you have to remember that no one is perfect. I think there is still some good in her (and who knows what happens in the next book!) She was not a relatable character, which was refreshing. Like in Game of Thrones - there are characters that we love and hate at the same time. That is what makes it all that interesting. Many people are probably going to hate Inka but I think it is great to have characters that awaken different kinds of emotions like infatuation, irritation and anger. Kuura was very emotive in every possible way. So many feelings, both good and bad. And the ending... Great job, Elina!
