Advanced kohta on nyt ”jännästi” niputettu TBR rykelmäksi – melko laaja käsite kun periaatteessa TBR lista on itselläni loputon tai oikeastaan sellaista ei varsinaisesti ole. Meinaan rajata TBR listan omiin paperisiin kirjoihin, koska ne nyt ainakin olisi joskus luettava. Näin saan mahdollisesti jonkun kirjan hyllystäkin poistettua.
Vähän sama homma. Päädyin ottamaan kirjat advanced-kohtiin kirjaston sivuilla pitämästäni "hyllystä". Sillä listalla on paljon siellä kauan roikkuneita opuksia. Vain yksi (kohta 49) piti valita toisesta listasta.Eija kirjoitti: Advanced kohta on nyt ”jännästi” niputettu TBR rykelmäksi – melko laaja käsite kun periaatteessa TBR lista on itselläni loputon tai oikeastaan sellaista ei varsinaisesti ole.
Suunnitelmat on jo päässeet vauhtiin (yksi kirja on jo lainattukin) enkä millään malttaisi odottaa Helmetin julkistamista. Ärsyttää, että sitä pitää aina odottaa vuoden loppumetreille.

Olipas hyödyllinen haastekohta - sain tyhjennettyä vähän hyllyä. TBR rajattu omiin suomenkielisiin painettuihin kirjoihin. Lyhin hyllyssä oli Ambrose Biercen Lyhyitä tarinoita, jonka sisältö on raapaleita. Raapaleet eivät yleensäkään ole iskeneet ja jaksoin lukea muutamia sivuja, kunnes päätin, että en tule kirjaa lukemaan loppuun vaan se menee kiertoon. Samoin seuraavaksi lyhyimmät kuusi kpl X-files pokkareita tyhjentyy hyllystä lukemattomina. Ne ei kiinnosta yhtään nyt eikä todennäköisesti tulevaisuudessakaan. Seuraavaksi lyhyin oli Leena Krohnin Salaisuuksia 104 sivulla. Suhtauduin jo valmiiksi kirjaan skeptisesti, mutta yllätyinkin iloisesti. Kirja oli hyvä.

- Olemme useana vuonna käyneet isännän kanssa kahdesti vuodessa Tukholman risteilyllä. Muutaman päivän irtiotto arjesta ja pakollinen visiitti Science Fiction Bokhandelniin Vanhassa kaupungissa. Covid tilanne riisti meiltä tämän ilon viime vuodelta ja nyt elättelemme pientä toivoa, että reissuun uskaltaisi tänä vuonna ehkä lähteä. Kovin lupaavalta tilanne ei kuitenkaan näytä vieläkään, niin huonosti on naapuri osuutensa pandemiassa hoitanut.

107 sivua. Tämä on esiosa Wegeliuksen tyystin mahtavalle Merten gorillalle, josta selviää Sally Jonesin alkuperätarina ja se miten hän päätyi yhteen kumppaninsa Koskelan kanssa. Se on ollut lukulistallani siitä lähtien kun luin Merten gorillan ja vaikka siinä onkin aika vähän tekstiä, en siltikään saanut aikaiseksi lukea sitä, koska ruotsintaitoni ovat umpiruosteessa. Olen lukenut ennen tätä tasan yhden kirjan ruotsiksi ja sekin oli lukiossa. Teksti oli onneksi yksinkertaista, mutta silti piti turvautua välillä kääntäjään.

Olikin haastavaa löytää tähän kohtaan kiinnostava kirja, jonka nimessä olisi oikeasti oksymoroni. GR:sta löytyvässä haasteesen osallistuvien kirjalistauksessa (josta tämäkin löytyi) oli paljon sellaisia nimikkeitä, joista en ymmärtänyt ollenkaan miksi ne oli sinne lisätty. Oksymoroneista ei ollut tietoakaan. Tämänkin kirjan nimestä tosin voisi saada aikaan filosofisen keskustelun. Voiko suru olla suloista? Subjektiivinen juttu, ma luulen.

Oli vakaa aikomus lukea tämä viime syksynä, mutta kun olin hakemassa sitä kirjastosta se olikin mennyt juuri lainaan. Sitten se taas unohtui.
