No on haastetta kerrakseen. Alku reaktio oli, että en kyllä tee …mutta, jos yrittäisi vaan ottaa löysin rantein ja katsoa mitä löytyy ja huvittaa lukea. Goodreads menee melkein itsestään, mutta tässä täytyy jo aika paljon ponnistella. Hyvä ettei ole pakko lukea YA romansseja yhtään, mutta tilalla on sellaista ”mukavaa” kuin jalkapalloa, juoksu seuraa ja ruokarekkaa…puhumatta monista muista, joihin on ehkä hiukkasen vaikea löytää sopivaa kirjaa…

Olin jo saanut Goodreadsin haasteeseen keräiltyä kaikenlaisia potentiaalisia kirjoja kun tämä lista rysähti niskaan. Hyvin harva jo valitsemani tuntuu tähän sopivan, mikä vähän harmittaa. Ensi vuonna tullaan siis tuskin tekemään uusia ennätyksiä luettujen kirjojen määrässä, mutta mitäpä siitä. The more the merrier. Pahimpana kantona kaskessa on tuo kohta 29. Kirjastosta löytyy jopa kaksi GR:n listauksessa mainittua kirjaa, mutta ne ovat molemmat jotain (nuorten)romantiikkaa enkä vain yksinkertaisesti jaksa enää sitä laatua. Food truck -miljööseen sijoittuvia cozy crime -kirjoja on ilmeisesti paljonkin, muttei harmillisesti meidän kirjastossa. Kuvakirjavaihtoehto on olemassa, mutta ehkäpä panttaan tätä kohtaa pidempään jos vaikka löytyisi jotain parempaa. Luin jo tämän vuoden haasteeseen jalkapalloa käsittelevän nuortenkirjan, joten sen kohdan kanssa aion mennä siitä mistä aita on matalin ja lukea Timo Parvelan [i]Paten jalkapallokirjan[/i]. Run club -listan kirjojakaan ei kovin monta piplioteekista löytynyt, mutta yksi niistä oli jopa [url=https://www.risingshadow.net/book/49465-the-end-of-the-world-running-club]spefiä![/url]   Eli löysin rantein ja kaikessa rauhassa. Tämän on tarkoitus olla kivaa tekemistä eikä suorittamista veren maku suussa (tämä siis muistutuksena itselleni).

Samoin olin jo suunnitellut Goodreadsia jonkun verran. Popsugarin haastekohtiin ei todennäköisesti käy kovin moni niistä kirjoista. Ei sen väliä, pitää vaan lukea enemmän. Nyt vasta tajusin, mikä toi Food truck ylipäätään tarkoittaa :D ja löysinkin siihen netistä luettavan novellin Light Speed Magazinesta… kyllä se tästä, kun tapanani on hyväksyä yksittäisiä novellejakin myös haasteeseen (aina silloin kun on tarpeeksi hapokas kohta muuten toteutettavaksi).   Edit. Ja kiitos run club vinkistä. Se saattaa olla mun valinta siihen kohtaan.

Hieman irvistelin minäkin, kun Popsugarin listaa lueskelin, varsinkin kun tämänkin vuoden haasteista Popsugar on ainoa, joka suurella todennäköisyydellä jää suorittamatta loppuun. Kuluvalta vuodelta puuttuisi vielä 8 kohtaa joista muutamaan olin kyllä suunnitellut kirjoja, mutta puuttuviksi jäävät kohdat ärsyttävät sen verran, etten oikein tunne intoa täyttää näitä paria osuvaakaan kohtaa enää, vaan ajattelin mennä ihan fiilistelyllä jäljellä olevat vuodenpäivät. Ikävä kyllä 2025 Popsugar näyttää ensituntumalta jälleen pahimmalta listalta. Goodreads sentään tuntuu vielä toteuttamiskelpoiselta.   Mutta eihän sitä koskaan tiedä! Kirjat voivat aina yllättää, joten yritän kaivaa positiivisempaa asennetta esille kunhan joulukiireet väistyvät tieltä ja Helmet julkaistaan, että voi alkaa tekemään syvempää suunnittelua haastekohtiin.
