Howard: Kultaisen kallon kirous[/url]   Fantasia kirja miekka ja magia alagenrestä.   Kokoelma sisältää viisi Kuningas Kall (Kull of Valusia/Kull of Atlantis) novellia. Osassa tarinoista Kall esiintyy vain maininnan tasolla, viitteenä. Näissä novellisuomennoksissa korostuu se, kuinka hankala Howardin suomentaminen on niin että tarinoiden tunnelma myös välittyy. Suomennos tuntui kömpelölle ja viimeistelemättömälle. mm. välillä kuningas oli Kall ja välillä Kull. Kokoelman kertomukset eivät tarinallisestikaan ole Howardin parhaimpia ja mm. joidenkin tarinoiden lopetus on melko kömpelö. Viimeinen tarina on draft versio, jonka myöhemmin Lin Carter täydensi ja julkaisi nimellä [i]Riders Beyond the Sunrise[/i]. En tiedä kummasta versiosta suomennos on. Miehet olivat satimessa 69 päivää. Kirja on dokumentti tapauksesta. Ensin kamppaillaan eloon jäämisestä ja nälkäkuolemalta. Sitten kun tämä asia on turvattu (hilkulla) alkaa psykologinen selviytyminen kunnes koittaa pelastuminen. Sen jälkeen vielä on selvittävä traumoista.   13/52
