46. A time travel novel - H. G. Wells: Aikakone.
Aikamatkustajan vaimo tuli luettua viime vuonna ja 22.11.63 meni historiallisesta henkilöstä kertovaan kohtaan ja aloin jo huolestua, mistä löydän lisää aikamatkustuskirjoja. Aihe osoittautui kuitenkin yleisemmäksi kuin luulinkaan, Matkantekijäkin olisi sopinut tähän.

22. A book by an author you haven't read before - Jeffrey Eugenides: Virgin suicides - Kauniina kuolleet
A book you meant to read in 2016. Jostain syystä elokuvan nähtyäni minun on vaikea lukea kirjaa. A book with an unreliable narrator).

6. A book being released as a movie in 2017 Lauren Kate: Langennut
- Maaliskuuta odotellessa. Nuorille suunnatun paranormaalin romantiikan ystäville juonessa on ainakin potentiaalia. Kaikki näyttää ensialkuun menevän kovin samoin kuin kaikissa muissakin tämän tyyppisissä kirjoissa; uusi koulu ja uudet oudot pojat. Tämä voisi olla jo ennalta-arvattavan tylsää. Langenneen juonikuviot tuntuvat olevan kuitenkin hieman tavallista kierompia; ainakin kirjan loppuosassa. Mikäli ehdin, leffa täytyy käydä maaliskuulla katsastamassa. Saatan jopa olla jopa tarpeeksi utelias hankkimaan seuraavia osia englanniksi päästäkseni tarinassa nopeammin eteenpäin.

- Maaliskuuta odotellessa. Nuorille suunnatun paranormaalin romantiikan ystäville juonessa on ainakin potentiaalia. Kaikki näyttää ensialkuun menevän kovin samoin kuin kaikissa muissakin tämän tyyppisissä kirjoissa; uusi koulu ja uudet oudot pojat. Tämä voisi olla jo ennalta-arvattavan tylsää. Langenneen juonikuviot tuntuvat olevan kuitenkin hieman tavallista kierompia; ainakin kirjan loppuosassa. Mikäli ehdin, leffa täytyy käydä maaliskuulla katsastamassa. Saatan jopa olla jopa tarpeeksi utelias hankkimaan seuraavia osia englanniksi päästäkseni tarinassa nopeammin eteenpäin.

33. A magical realism novel -- Haruki Murakami: The Strange Library
Voisin lyödä vaikka vetoa, että Murakami on istunut aamuisin tukka pörrössä, bokserit jalassa raapustamassa muistiin uniaan, joiden pohjalta on kirjoittanut tämän teoksen. Aivan ihana!

Mietin kuulkaa ihan samaa, ihan samaa...

BBC:n suurelta lukulistalta: Philip Pullman Salaperäinen veitsi.

3. A Book you meant to read in 2016 - Michael Morpurgo: War horse
