Tuli pitkä tauko lukemisissa alkuvuodesta eikä tahti ole ollut kova sen jälkeenkään. Jotain kuitenkin.
Ensimmäisen 10 joukossa lukulistallani: Heikki Turunen Simpauttaja. Ei ehkä ihan, koska näköjään ostettu 2 eurolla jostain. Ensimmäisissä olisi markkahinta. Mutta niin kauan kuitenkin hyllyssä, ettei mitään mielikuvaa mistä kotoisin tai olisinko lukenut ennen. Ei ehkä mahdottomasti puhuttele, mutta helppoa luettavaa, todenoloista ajankuvaa.
4 kirjaa, joita liittää neljä elementtiä: nro 1 maa. James Dashner Maze runner. Maanläheistä elämää viettää ryhmä eristettyjä nuoria. Ihan kiinnostava uusi dystopiatuttavuus.
Tositapahtumien innoittama: Selma Lagerlöf Jerusalem. Lagerlöf luki pikku-uutisen ryhmästä taalainmaalaisia lahkolaisia, jotka lähtivät siirtolaisiksi Jerusalemiin 1800-luvun lopussa, ja rupesi miettimään keitä he olivat ja miksi he jättivät kaiken muuttaakseen tuntemattomaan maahan.
"Kirjallista fiktiota" - Tove Jansson Den ärliga bedragaren. Erikoinen tarina, avoin tulkinnoille. Oppivatko henkilöt jotain hyödyllistä vai olisivatko eläneet paremmin oppimatta? Ei olla muumilaaksossa, mutta sittenkin itseriittoisessa paikassa ja vahvasti talven tunnelmissa, joihin kevät tuo muutoksen.
Afrikkaan sijoittuva kirja: Andre Brink Rumours of rain. Etelä-Afrikan apartheid keskusteema kuten Brinkillä yleensä. Pidän kovasti tyylistään, kauneutta ja rujoutta kuten maassa, jota kuvaa.

4 kirjaa, joita 4 elementtiä yhdistää: 2.kirja - tuli. James Dashner Scorch trials. NImessä on karrelle palamista, ja niin on käynyt laajalle alalle Maata. Ja ihmisiä piinaa tauti nimeltä Flare (loimu?).
Kirja, jonka odotan naurattavan: Älä hermoile, Roope-setä. Sain tuplataskarin joululahjaksi. Muistan kyllä hyvin nämä alkuaikojen taskarit, mutta hauskoja yhä.
Ensimmäisessä persoonassa kirjoitettu: Knut Hamsun Svält. Ei miellyttävää luettavaa, päähenkilö on nälkään nääntymässä, käyttäytyy irrationaalisesti eikä herätä myötätuntoa. Suuren vaikutuksen tuoreeltaan tehnyt ja moniin myöhempiin vaikuttanut romaani.
Kirjassa on kartta: George Martin A dance with dragons. Tarina jatkuu niiden osalta, joita kovasti kaipasin edellisessä osassa. Kaikki luvut eivät ole yhtä kiinnostavia kuin toiset, niin kovin monta kertojaa hajottaa tarinaa. Yhtä kaikki, kieli pitkällä odotan lisää.

KIrja sijoittuu maahan jossa en ole käynyt, mutta haluaisin: Jules Verne Kahden vuoden loma-aika. Alkaa Uudesta-Seelannista, josta ajaudutaan haaksirikkoon jonnekin Chilen edustalle saarelle. Molemmissa haluaisin käydä.
Kirjassa tapahtuu murha: Mari Jungstedt Den man älskar. Gotlannissa tapahtuu kovasti murhia.

Scifiä: George Orwell 1984. Kuulemani puhe innoitti verestämään muistoa - olen lukenut tämän viimeksi v. 1984. Kyseinen puhe toi kylmäävästi mieleen "sota on rauhaa, vapaus on orjuutta". Kirja tuntuu yllättävän tuoreelta yhä.
